STEREON Metals Hermsdorf GmbH develops and produces high-performance components made from refractory metals such as molybdenum and tungsten, which are designed for extreme conditions. Its products are used in industries like aerospace, semiconductor technology, and medical engineering, making the excursion particularly relevant for students of Chemistry, Chemistry of Materials, Materials Science (Werkstoffwissenschaft), and Physics, as well as related engineering-focused fields.

The Career Point offers a bus shuttle to Hermsdorf at 9:00 a.m. The meeting point will be announced soon.

The company visit takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Afterwards, we will take the bus shuttle back and arrive in Jena at approximately 1:30 p.m.

The number of participants is limited. Participation is free of charge for students.
